Devil’s Playground is a thriller spread across a number of different cities and countries and I love to research well, so I have travelled to each location in the book. I thought I would give you a glimpse of the various cities over the next couple of weeks, to give you a sense of the different backdrops. As you make your way through the book, you may even be able to recognise the odd place.
This week, the capital of the oil rich state of Azerbaijan: Baku. It has a wonderful old city and the newer downtown area has been remodelled in a way that gives it a hint of Paris.
